Though there are countless others, this is a pretty neat little compilation of Howlin' Wolf's best moments from various points in his career. Containing 18 tracks for a budget price, many of the true classics are here, from "Evil" and "Smokestack Lightning" to "Spoonful" and "Back Door Man." There are also a coupe of surprises that don't usually show up on comps of this type, and they include "300 Pounds of Joy," "Down in the Bottom," and "The Natchez Burning." Thankfully "How Many More Years" and "Sittin on Top of the World" are also included, making this a well-rounded and representative set that will certainly appeal to newcomers to Wolf's mighty, dark power
