Acoustic Junk is a limited edition album the Cowboy Junkies gave away in conjunction with a radio & concert promotion in 2009. The packaging is a simple single cardboard sleeve. The band didn't have any ideas except they wanted the package to have the qualities of low-fi/handmade aesthetics. Mike also wanted me to incorporate drawings of weird monsters by his son. He brought them along with him for their summer 2008 tour. Each night before a show, he wrote down their set list on the his son's drawings. : ) Isn't that sweet?
